Hi Dianna,
the name.freeway is simply the Freeway document name, such as letter.doc (Word) or brochure.pdf and has nothing to do with publishing.
Ranking is influenced by totally different mechanisms so you shouldn’t mind about a file name.

Whats more the FW file doesn’t get uploaded to your server anyway.
What is important is how you name your individual pages ie aboutus.html is pretty insignificant compared to about-the-widget-company.html

Dianna, it is possible that your thinking here was not a million miles from
a valid concern.
While the freeway file itself can have no ultimate bearing on your website
ranking whatsoever, what you title your page file names in freeway will.
For example, a html page file name selling guinea pig cages thoughtfully
called “guinea-pig-cages.html” will outperform a page called
“myproducts.html” on the same server (obviously, for the search term
“guinea pig cages” anyway).
So it is the output filename that you should concern yourself with when
considering SEO - that and oh about 300 over variables
Ensure that any search terms present in your html file names are separated
by a hyphen or underscore for best effect and if necessary increase the
freeway default file name size to accomodate.
