Drop down menus

Hi, I’m new to this and I have tried the instructions in Freeway 4 but don’t seem to be able to get it to work for me.

hi David - you certainly can do this very easily. The menus at
http://www.exportimportlaw.com/ are one example.

There’s an inbuilt action for doing this, so the answer to that is “yes”.

Make a single-row table on the pasteboard (not on the page) and use
the Inspector palette to give it a name.

Give it one column (cell) per menu that you want, and put each menu
item in as a paragraph within the appropriate cell.

(For example, the menu table structure at the Export Import Law site
is as follows. The first cell contains:

The GRVR Home

The second contains:

Law Firm History
Our Attorneys
Join the Team
Contact GRVR

each as a new paragraph within the cell, and so on. Each item is
linked to the appropriate page as normal.)

Make a single-row table on your page, give it one column (cell) per
menu, put in the menu titles, and apply the Menu Bar action to it.
Choose your named off-page menu table in the Actions palette.

You’re done, apart from playing with the options in the Actions
palette for colours and what-not.

This list is maintained by Softpress Systems - http://www.softpress.com

In your sample, when one of the menu items is selected (for eg: ABOUT > PRACTICE AREA) then the line turns blue and the type white. How is that done?
