I am currently trying out the demo version of Intaglio and it seems that I can only add three effects to an object. Is this a limitation of the demo version? Or does the full version also only support a maximum of three effects per object?
Well, not sure about the Demo-Limitations,
but in the licensed-version I have used as many as 10 different effects so far without any problems.
I guess one can apply even more if necessary.
Thank you, Nolan. I am currently evaluating Intaglio to determine if it meets my needs, so it’s good to know that the full version does not seem to have this limitation.
Now if I could just get a response to my Custom Brushes question…
I figured out what was happening: whenever I added an effect I was somehow deselecting the object. It seems to me that it still “looked” like the object was selected, but maybe the effect was selected instead?
At any rate, I figured out that if I click on the object in the drawing, the effects in the menu would no longer be grayed out.
In other news, I went ahead and purchased a license last night. Intaglio is very close to what I was looking for: much closer than anything else… other than Illustrator, but I can’t afford to spend six hundred bucks on a graphics app right now. I knew something was up when I seemed to be having the same “effect number limitation” issue in the registered version…
So chalk it up to a n00b’s user error… thanks for the support!
