em width - Mac v PC results

I am getting different results with CSS Menus for the Mac using Safari and the PC using IE.
See www.guyenne-immobilier.co.uk/

  1. On a PC, the menu width is wider and the text per menu line is on one line.
  2. On a Mac, the menu width is far less - and menu text is displayed over two lines.

I use FW on a Mac but design for a client with PCs - so I have to visit the local library PC public internet access to check differences.

Not on this Mac. Your menu is quite a lot wider than the text it
contains, and all the items are on one line. Incidentally, something
weird happens when you click on the bottom link — another menu appears!

Be aware that the PC you use at the library may be set up oddly and
not be representative. Have you tried looking at it with <Moved

?

Hello Paul,
The bottom menu item calls a page with an iFrame containing the OLD website (still live) that the French webmaster is refusing to transfer. I am tasked by the owner with copying that webmasters site " exactly as it is " - hence this page is my way of getting old and new on the same page so I can compare.

The site to copy is " ********* ******* " (please insert suitable phrase). Mine is unprintable.

Hello Paul,
Many many thanks for the " view Mac FW sites in the PC’s Internet Explorer " URL at ipinfo.info/netrenderer/index.php ?
This will save me hours of unproductive time.

This one is also free but gives you several options which I find much
more useful than NetRenderer, plus it will capture the entire page
not just the browser window. It’s not perfect but still, it’s useful.
