Embedded phone caller

I just got an email message that had two phone numbers with underscore links… clicking on them automatically launched a web-based phone dialer! Am using Google’s Gmail app. I was actually able to call myself on the computer!

Is there any way to do this with Freeway Pro?

Thanks.

Freeway includes the tel protocol in the Edit > Hyperlink dialog. You can add a tel link just like any other using the format tel:5551234 (for example) and on iOS devices the linked item will dial the number automatically for you when clicked. Most desktop browsers don’t do anything with tel links so clicking on them will almost likely land you a browser error. Depending on how the client machine is set up these links may launch a helper app (Skype for example) or just do nothing.
If you take a look at the source code for the email message you should be able to see what sort of link launched your phone dialer.
Regards,
Tim.
