Hi Guys
I just came across this debate about the Password Protected Action. I am using this on some pages really as a means to navigate through some pages ie. I type in 12 and it brings me to page 12 of a 30 Page Catalogue. Question is can the Action be modified to show the actual digits being entered and not the password dots? Also I was interested to see that somehow you guys got this to work by just hitting RETURN. This is exactly what I need the action to do. I dont know code but wonder if it is possible to have someone amend the Action as Joe has indicated.

Hi waltd
You were up late last night.
Thanks for your reply. If we are talking about v2 2.0 this is what I am attempting to use . It only has fields in the action for Link Type: folder/page Button. Label: submit etc. and field length. Am I looking at the wrong action?
This one does the job but as I say it enters password dots in the field and you have to hit the button to go not a simple enter/return on keyboard.
Thanks for taking time to help. I really appreciate you taking the time for this no brainer!

If you follow the link I gave you, I was actually referring to version 1.0. That has both the keyboard submit and the plain-text field. It has an option to change the button text, which you could change to ‘go’ or similar for a minimal button.
Try down-grading! (You will probably have to locate your Actions folder and manually delete the current Action, if it’s named the same. I don’t know how Freeway deals with trying to install a lower-version Action over a newer one.)
Hi Joe,
Excellent work and follow up - I have it already and it is exactly what I needed - this is now a great action not only to navigate through a set of pages or catalogue within a site but also its use as a password protect feature. Very, very useful - 10 of of 10! Thanks to all concerned.
Time for a glass of red!
