Error when uploading

Hello everyone

I am having ftp error 550 with only one website, the rest of my websites are not having this problem, which makes me think there is an error on this website I am uploading…

I made some new additions and it will not upload… any ideas??
Thanks
C

First place to start is toggling Passive mode in File>Document Setup>Upload

If it is checked then uncheck and vice versa. Often this is enough to sort this sort of problem.

I am assuming that publishing is OK just the upload that is giving you problems.

If so and you have an FTP client like Transmit, Cyberduck etc then move the existing files on the server to another folder which you create with the FTP software eg Old Site (so you still have them as a backup) Making sure that you don’t move stuff that doesn’t belong to your Site.

Once you have moved the old files out then try uploading again.

i actually did turn the passive box off… but it was not that

i had a quicktime movie which for some reason would not upload as it had always

so i deleted the movie

but i will have to figure out how to place a QT
on a page

Is this the same movie you always had or has it changed at all?

It is not too big for your server space is it?

Hi Dave

It was the same movie I had there before. It was odd indeed, but I had not loaded or updated it since I upgraded to Pro

so what do you think happened… No it is not too big for the space.

Thx

Is the QT file OK - not damaged - can you play it OK on your Mac?

Try placing it on a new blank page on its own and reupload to see if that works.
