Exhibeo and EverWeb

I was using Exhibeo with iWeb. I’ve since replaced iWeb with EverWeb. Does anyone have instructions for how to use Exhibeo with EverWeb? I can’t seem to figure it out.

When you create your Exhibeo export you get an ExhibeoExport.html file that gives you instructions as to how to include the Exhibeo output into an Html document.

Follow them and you should be GTG - as I am not familiar with EverWeb I cannot be specific as to how you add code to it.

Hi Becky,

I’m trying this out in EverWeb but am struggling to make it behave properly – I don’t seem to be able to get it to open up the site in a browser to preview it to test whether it’s working.

In theory, you should be able to do the following (assuming you’ve only got one gallery/slideshow per page):

  1. Go to the Inspector and in the Page Settings section scroll down to Head Code
  2. Paste the code from the code section of the Exhibeo Export page into the Head Code field
  3. Draw an HTML Snippet widget on the page and double click on it
  4. Paste the code from the code section of the Exhibeo Export page into the HTML code in the Inspector

Now this is the bit I’m unsure of, but you need to get the output folders onto your server/ into the published folder so they’re sitting alongside the page you’re editing. It looks like you can only upload to EverWeb’s servers so I can’t actually test this out for you – you’d need to get in touch with EverWeb support to find out how to go about doing this.
