I tried making the page layout completely flexible, but due to the way I have things laid out at the moment, it made a real dog’s breakfast of things!
As an interim measure, I have hacked in a little control that lets you adjust the width of the page. As soon as I am happy with the results, I will roll it into a preferences setting.
Please test, by doing the following. Go to a page, stretch your window out to whatever width you like to see things, and then add ?width=1000 to the URL in your browser and press your browser’s reload button.
If that’s not wide enough, try a higher number for width. You can add any number above 800 and see things as wide as you like. The site is simply writing a bit of extra style code into the head of the page on display to override the width of several elements. If you do have a jumbotron, beyond a certain point you will begin to see a gap in the graphics that make the top and bottom of the main display area. But that’s going to be a very very obscenely wide screen. Unreadable even by those who consider a white pixel to be a wasted pixel.
