I have an odd, perplexing little problem.
I’m using Express to design my site; I like the software a lot. That said, here’s the problem.
I have a number of magazine articles that I’ve published over the years. They’re in the word processing program Pages (a Mac program). One by one, I pluck these out of Pages, convert them to Plain Text, drop them into Freeway, do a bit of massaging (change the typeface, etc.), and boom, it looks great, all set, on to the next article. Well, with one of these articles, I do these things, and then check the result in Safari preview - it publishes too wide! It publishes about 30 percent wider than I’ve designed it to be. It looks OK in Freeway. It also looks OK in Firefox. Only in Safari does it publish too wide. And only this one article, out of maybe 75 that I’m working on. I’ve started over with this piece, going back to square one, re-converting to Plain Text, etc. etc., but nothing works - it still publishes too wide. Any thoughts? Thanks for reading this.
