So far it doesn’t work and I’m looking for some extra help.
If I add a Markup Item to a blank part of a page, I can see the object outline both in the page view and in preview mode. However, there is no content in the object in Preview or Publish mode, i.e no calendar!
Is there something else that is needed? A key required? Or additional activation?
Many of these Google services will only run from the actual server
where you registered your API key. For example, if you registered for
an API key for the calendar and you entered www.example.com as the
server where you plan to use the calendar, you must upload your page
to that server and access it in a browser by navigating to that page
at the full URL: http://www.example.com/calendar.html in order to see
it. Otherwise, your API key won’t work, and Google will reject the
access.

I had another go at solving this problem and not it works as it should.
I didn’t change anything I did yet it started to work. So I will have to put this down to a glitch with the embedding of Google Calendar. I do find the Google Calendar to be a bit temperamental on different browsers on Macs and PC’s.
For the record a Google key is not required and when it works the calendar will show in the Freeway preview.
