[Express] Any suggestions for how to make a slide show?

I’m using Freeway Express 6.1.2 to make a web site for my wife’s real estate business. We want one page of the web site to have a slide show. I’ve been looking at the knowledge base and at the community forums to get ideas on how to create the slide show. There is so much information that I can’t absorb it all!

I’d like to give a description of what kind of slide show I want, and then ask for advice on the best approach to create it.

Each slide in the show will consist of a picture with explanatory text below the picture. We don’t want the slide show to automatically advance to the next slide - because the user might not be finished looking at the picture or reading the text. We’d like the user to be able to click on “next” or “previous” arrows to go forward or back in the show.

We don’t want a gallery of thumbnails. When the page with the slide show is loaded, we want to the first picture in the slide show to appear - and stay there until the user clicks on the “next” arrow.

We don’t want any fancy transitions between slides - just something simple that won’t be jarring to the eyes. We want the slides to be the focus of attention - not the transitions.

Does anyone have a suggestion for the best way to create this in Freeway Express 6? (And any suggestions for how to create an image that consists of a picture with text below the picture?)

Thanks
Clint

Thanks for the suggestion Howard.
Question for the people at Softpress: Can I download the Exhibeo user manual and check it out before I buy? I’d like to get a feel for the features of Exhibeo and for how to use it.

For as far as I know, there ain’t no Exhibeo User Manual, the app itself is pretty straightforward, and to be honest, not really my cup of tea. Just fiddle around, it’s not complicated.

Have a look at the Focus template demo of Exhibeo. It does what you are looking for I think.

Thanks to everybody who replied.

Yes - the Focus template may be just what I’m looking for. Now I need to gather the photos and write the captions…

Then, download Exhibeo and give it a try.

Cheers,
Clint

Take a look on Macupdate for Exhibeo. They had it on promo last week.
