[Express] Blogger Problem

I believe I have followed directions in the tutorial properly all the way to the very last step, which is where I am stumped. The directions say to: “Log into your Blogger account and go to Edit HTML in the Layout section. Paste the code into the large field in the center of the page and click Preview. You should see the Header and the Blogger navigation bar at the top of the page.
When you are ready to save the template click the Save Template button.”

I started my blog with the Simple Template but couldn’t find the Edit HTML box so went back to the classic look. Thought I found the right place, but now I notice that the box actually says Edit Template HTML. When I paste the code there, Save Template, and then Preview, I see a bunch of code at the top of the page and then the CSS menu outline (as it looks in the box when typing in the menu parts).

I have looked at other threads regarding this and most are for Pro and different problems. Does anyone have an idea where I should be pasting this code? Or if I’m doing something else wrong?

Thanks for your help!
Tammy

Well . . . I didn’t get any replies to this problem yet, and when I was searching the forum, I noticed there wasn’t a lot of recent posts on using the blogger template, so now I’m wondering if you all have a better idea for adding a blog to your site. What do you all use? I like the idea of the blog page looking like the rest of the site.

Hi Tammy,

There shouldn’t be any problem with it. What’s your blog address?

Thank, Joe. I just spent some time working on the appearance of the blog and the link on each of my pages now goes directly to the blog instead of the FW blog template page I created. I like it a lot, but don’t have a way to get a visitor to get back to my page with a click of the button. It’s probably better if I use the FW blog template page, but I really like the current blog appearance. What’s your suggestion?

Tammy
