I cant find any tutorials on building a forum in Freeway.
I am sure this can be done, but have no idea how to go about that. Are there turorial for this or does anyone have a suggestion?

Sorry, form, or forum? The manual covers the former (pun intended) very deeply. As to building a forum, there is nothing in or about Freeway that would make this any easier or not – that’s a programming project, with database and server-side scripting of one sort or another required to make it work. Freeway can easily make the interface templates that your server populates with the results of various database queries, but it can’t help you with the programming.

For a novice, what would you say is an easy starting place to build this??

Vanilla is very easy – a one-line drop-in which you can make in a Markup Item in your Freeway layout. Basically, you draw a Markup Item on your page where you want the forum to appear, paste in the one line of code, and your forum appears like magic. Now you have to agree to love the look and feel of Vanilla, but it’s pretty tasteful, and it’s full of nice features and anti-spam tricks.
