[Express] CSS or not?.... or, Exp vs Pro?

Hello All,

I’ve been using the Express version trial, and am a few days away from having to purchase. Express has everything I need for my single site for my business, except one item that I may or may not need: CSS styling.

With CSS formatting, one can have scroll arrows appear if the user of the site makes their text larger than the boxes that the text resides in. Without CSS (which Express doesn’t support fully), the text could overrun the box and mess up the formatting. My site consists of a background image that makes a ‘box’ around all text.

So my question to you all is, do you think that spending the extra $ for Pro is worth it compared to Express for this one potential problem that users might encounter? Or another way to look at it: what percentage of users generally run their font size way up compared to default?

Thank you, Ramsay

If you truly are only purchasing for 1 site then rather than spend the extra $150 or whatever I would create my layout with a bit of extra room for expansion.

Only you know the sort of visitor that you are trying to attract - what does their demographic say?

And remember, Pro is only the price of an upgrade away if you feel that you need that bit extra in the future.

David,

Thanks for your input! I like your idea of a little extra room…

I have a small business, with a similarly sized budget. If I were making sites for a living it would be a no-brainer to go Pro, but I think I’ll live with this limitation (for now anyways)

thanks again, Ramsay
