After I fill in the directory field with the correct information, then try to upload my site, I get this error message–Cannot change directory because of an FTP error [550/webspace/httpdocs: No such file or directory]
When I go back to the upload dialogue, the directory field is empty again. All the other fields are still there.
I’m wondering if the directory field info is disappearing before the upload begins.
This is a very recent problem. I’ve used Freeway for years with no problems.
It’s there. The pages in my site are within in. I can see it with my FTP access control panel when I log into Dotster, and I’ve uploaded to it many times before.
I also have a second folder with another version of my site, and it’s there as well, and I get the same message when I try to upload to it.

Are you sure the folder is created on the server first?
I have an earlier version of my website, and I’ve looked at the upload dialogue. The directory field remains the same without going blank, and it uploads with no problem.
Could I have some kind of preferences’ corruption? Would removing freeway preferences from my hard drive bring the website back to its original stability? And, if so, what preferences should I remove?
They are set up correctly. As I said, I was having no problem uploading, I’ve been using FW with Dotster for several years, then this problem with the missing directory field started, and now I’m getting the error message.
With the very same settings, with an older version of my website where the directory field doesn’t disappear, I can upload with no problem. I’ve even tried cutting and pasting the fields from the older version to the newer version, but that hasn’t helped.

Here may be some more dumb questions.
Is the folder setup using the same case as the requested folder in FW?
