[Express] HTML Snippet and Markup?

I am still running a trial to see if I can figure out a few things without going nuts. I have been an iWeb user for years and I am now looking to replace iWeb as Apple no longer will invest in it. I use iWebs very easy HTML snippet a lot and it is not complicated. However, I am trying to emulate the same thing on both the Pro and Express Trial versions to no avail. I did search the thread for a simple explanation of how to do it. It is over my head. I tried to do the mark up but it killed everything on the template Im trying to work on. I am trying to do this “test” HTML on my template.

I just tried this in Pro, and it appeared to work perfectly. Follow these steps:

  1. Copy the code into your clipboard.
  2. In Freeway, make sure nothing on the page is selected and choose Insert / Markup Item from the main menu.
  3. Paste your code into the editor dialog that appears, and Okay the dialog.
  4. Locate the 100px-square Markup Item that is floating in the middle of your page layout, drag it to the location where you would like the form to appear, and resize it to suit your content.
  5. Preview in Freeway or a browser.

You should see your form (I did) wherever you placed the box.

Walter. Your tips helped! My only caveat is that I need to click on preview to view the HTML as I only can see a square box and I moved it to the bottom. Clicked on Preview and its there all right. But Not on the editing Page. Hmm… Guess thats the way Freeway is set up for HTML coding. THANKS!

Because external content is being accessed you will need to preview the page.
