[Express] Ridiculous Difficulty with SIMPLE STUFF

I’ve been trying to get freeway to make a simple website for months!!

And I still have the same problems!

I want a page with a banner on top and a content below, the banner has a simple table with links below it used for navigating. My problem is page size. I can’t get it to work well if the user changes the window size!!!

I’ve done everything I can think of, using tables, using graphics that won’t change size, but I can’t figure it out.

How hard is it to make a site that doesn’t stretch/shrink/look terrible when the user changes the window size?

A centred page will help if you want to keep your navigation in the middle when the page is resized.

Set your banner/navigation in the middle of your FW document. In the the page inspector set page alignment to center.

On this example I have added a tiled horizontally (vertical top) background image approx 32px wide and 92px high to go behind the banner/navigation.

Is this the sort of thing you are trying to achieve? http://www.deltadzine.net/headerpage.html

If you have some attempts online we will be happy to look at them and give you pointers if we know what you are trying to achieve.

Generally pretty easy, although it would be easier to answer if we
could see an example of your efforts.
