[Express] Text in different place online than in Freeway

The caption under my photo is much farther down viewing it online than where I placed it within Freeway Express. What causes this? And, I could be mistaken, but it seems it was in the right place in the beginning, and today it’s farther down. Is this even possible? I’m not a web geek, and don’t really know what goes on in cyberspace. I think I would have noticed this before, which is why it seems like it changed recently. I have refreshed my browser & looked at it within Firefox and Safari. Both show the same thing.

Thank you in advance.

What you are seeing is how different Browsers render text at different sizes.

You look at your page using Safari. In Safari under the View Menu enable ‘Zoom Text Only’ now with your page on screen use Cmd+ to increase the size of the text displayed (do it a couple of times for greatest effect)

FW Express uses a table structure to build the page and by increasing the text size the scaffolding that holds that structure together has to expand to accommodate larger text. As a result the cells expand moving stuff further down the page.

In FW’s layout view you can see this ‘scaffold’ by enabling ‘HTML Layout’ under the view menu. This shows you where these expansion points are likely to happen.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Delta Dave, but what do I have to do so the caption sits right under the photo? I don’t really understand what you mean about seeing the scaffold in HTML Layout. I always work with that enabled and I’m not seeing what you mean. What should I be looking at?
