Hi Everyone –
I’m a complete beginner at using Freeway and have been struggling with an issue that may have a very easy and obvious solution as I attempt to build my personal page.
I have a front page – I’ve included a simplified example – with a large image on it and I’m trying to build my links around that image (the links to each page will follow the curvature of the bird’s back). There is a rollover effect drawing a line to each link.
On Freeway, the text labeled “Photography” appears just behind the birds head. But I’ve noticed that the location of the text varies wildly between different browsers and resizing the window causes the text to wander about the page.
Here is the test page:

I found that if I do not center the background image (ie if I make it left and top justified), the issue is corrected, but I would rather it be centered. In addition, I have tried to make the large bird image just a picture (not the background) – this fixes the spacing issues but leads to issues with the rollovers (a white background comes through) – see this page for the roll over issue:

I’m beginning to think that I need to abandon some parts of the design and am favoring making the bird an image (not the background) and getting rid of the rollovers…or is there an easy fix to this issue?
Thans,
John
