[Express] Transparent HTML box over graphic .jpg, or .gif

When I draw a HTML box in Freeway Express; I notice in the inspector pallet that I can select no color. But when I draw the box all I can see is the base color, not the graphic image underneath. I’m wanting to have my HTML text ride over the underlying image. Is there any way to make a transparent HTML box in Freeway Express, or is that something that only the Pro version does?

As so much here, I’m not familiar with the Express version - but I guess indeed, that “layers” are Pro stuff. But what you could try is:

Draw your html-item, leave it active, choose the inspector (pen-tool) and apply the image as a background (note that this image needs to be well
prepared regarding correct size and file-type png or gif or jpeg). Choose center, center for the alignment (if it should not tile).

If you now inclick this item you should be able to apply text in it. Choose a “padding” and amount whatever to position your text.

This is by the way - Express or not - my preferred working method, but another argument that Pro is the version you should be after (if possible).

Cheers

Thomas
