External CSS and Webyep rich text

I have a site which uses Webyep Riche text boxes to enable a client to edit and style text via TinyMCE. The problem I’m having is that no stylesheets are being recognised by TinyMCE when editing via the browser in Webyep.

I have created stylesheets as in the Webyep manual on pg 49. I have also tried external stylesheets via Simple CSS and exported them into the CSS folder in the resources folder. I’ve used the action for the rich text and specified correct path in the URL box and still no joy. Tiny MCE shows no styles once the site is published…even if the styles are present in the css folder. (I have tried the publish everything command also)

This suggests that the path is not being followed or is broken. The site does contain a number of folders, with certain pages within.

Could these folders be the cause of the problem, or would anyone be able to suggest how to get TinyMCE to find and render the styles.

Hope someone can help.

Hi Matt
I have your artwork now… but if you could send me your style sheet then I can add it to your artwork and adjust the paths so the webyep richtext items can use it
cheers

Max. Hope you can help me out to. Just implemented Weyeb today. Still working on it locally with the MAMP server.
All fine except the connection between TinyMCE and the external CSS doc. Followed your manual in detail. Did all Matt did…still TinyMCE is not finding the CSS file.

What’s the solution?

Hi rob
is there any chance you can send me the freeway artwork (just the freeway doc I dont need anything else) as its just easier to see the structure you have within the freeway document then I can add the style sheet and correct the paths
cheers max

Hi rob
ok I have had a look at the structure and I can see the problems which there are three that I can see will stop the style sheet being seen/work

  1. the first is that in document output the external style sheet is not enabled.
  2. even though you have created the extra bespoke style sheet correctly within freeway, unfortunately it has not been assigned to any page so freeway will assume this style sheet is not needed and hence it will not be published
  3. the paths to the bespoke style sheet are not correct because some of the pages which you have added richtext items are within folders.

what I will do is quickly amend the document you sent me and send it back
all the best max

Max,

Downloaded the document but it won’t open up in Freeway (5.4.2)

I worked out the points 1 and 2 of your list already. Think the only missing issue is the correct path to the css folder. Maybe you can explain to me what or how to change?

If anyone is still here: I am using tinymce in webyep and although I can get the text editor to popup there are no icons (bold, underline, italics, etc) with which to manage the way that the txt displays. Any ideas?
Thanks
Chris
