faded graphics on page load

I am redoing my brass band site and want an ongoing cycle of 3 or 4 photos on part of each page with a fade, say every 2 secs.

I know i can do this with an item trigger but i want to achieve this with each page load.

‘Sequence timer’ can do this, but with no transitions it is very abrupt - any one know a better solution?

Hi Richard,

if you mean like http://www.locationburgundy.com, then what you need is the freeware Fading Slideshow action from Weaver - available at http://www.coastalrugs.com/Actions/

Hope this helps you out.

The correct link is http://www.locationburgundy.com/

Thanks Craig - that is exactly what I was after:

Its such a common technique I surprised i cant do it ‘out of the box’ so to speak!

Sorry Craig!

It is exactly the effect I want but I’m not sure I am up to implementing it from looking at all the links! - I don’t even want to incorporate it into a header or other feature.

I just want 3 or 4 pics (different sizes) to fade in and out when i load the page. I can cope with most of freeway and a little bit more but i don’t want to be bogged down in trying to work out what code goes where if you get my drift!

I can cope with ‘target images’ etc but not a lot else!

Any easier solutions to implement?

Use Sequence Timer in conjunction with Target Show/Hide

Have a look at http://www.stta.org.uk to see it used at the top of the page there.

Know how to do it now - many thanks, I knew it must be possible.

My only problem now is all my pages have a scrolling text action - the page action timer stops this action working and I get no text!

I have got round it by putting the page action and graphics in an iframe within each page but this seems a bit messy and I haven’t uploaded it or tried it on a windows box yet

Any other ideas?
