We are currently using the carousel action on a site to reveal specific content using the interval with no value and the duration with a “0” value.
Is there a hack to get the carousel to fade between panes with no sliding?
If it is through a hack, how would I go about changing the fade time?
Thanks, TeamSDA_Dave

No, there isn’t any way to do this with the Carousel, and it couldn’t be hacked into it because the structure of the elements doesn’t support it. Try using the NewsCycle to do this, you will have independent control over the fade time and you’ll have a fade effect, or use ScriptyFader if you don’t mind the SEO hit. ScriptyFader is almost entirely the same as Carousel, I actually took Carousel apart and turned it into SF.

Have you had a look at Walter’s ScriptyFader example here: http://www.deltadesign.co/examples/scriptyfader.html
Available from all good action repositories.

OK,
Thanks for the input. And as for the fader… very cool I might add, I have a lot of text and want it on the same page for SEO reasons.
