Fast Navigation Missing Resource Error

Just updated to 4.4.1 and went to update a site and got the following error. BTW I didn’t overwrite the old FW app folder.

RESOURCE CANNOT BE FOUND. The following resources cannot be found.
The file Macintosh HD:Applications:Freeway 4 Pro:Freeway 4 Pro.app:Contents:SharedSupport:Actions: FAST:Navigation.fwactionb:Contents:Resources:Actions:Support Files~:menu images:Glass:yellow:bg1.gif for this resource cannot be found - it will not be published.

Nothing shows up as missing under Edit>resources - and the selection in the action pane is Seattle anyway.

Any suggestions

David

Hi replying myself to bring it to the top so that Heather can provide insight.

Not sure I can help.

In fact (embarrassed shuffle), I subscribe to this list by email and I deleted the original thread!

Have you tried running a Spotlight search for the “missing” graphic? All the resources for the FAST Actions are embedded within the Freeway.app bundle, so it might turn up if you search for it.

As to why it’s being flagged as missing when you don’t appear to have actually used it, I have no idea. I don’t actually do much support stuff these days, and I’m very very rusty on actually using Freeway. =:oO

Hi Heather
Just saw you lurking and thought I would ask.

No spotlight turned up nothing and there is no resource with that name listed in the resource editor.

Guess I need to ask SP Towers.

Hi David,

This has come up before in support and is caused by the MenuBar action
playing up. Changing the appearance selection to something else
(Glass>Grey?) and then back to Seattle should fix it. If that doesn’t
work then I may need to send you another copy of the Action and let
you know where to put it.

Cheers,

Joe

Right Joe

Tried that and even using custom files I am getting the same error

So maybe I need that replacement copy of the Action and tell me where to stick it.

Well Joe sent me the replacement action but still that didn’t do the trick.

Joe’s other suggestion was to reinstall from the DMG file - which I did. (With some unfounded trepidation)

And thanks Joe - that did the trick - no more missing resource.

Sorted!
