I want to know how to improve the page loading speed of my freeway web pages. What is the best way to display the images? I generally make sure that my photos are JPEGS as GIFs look bitty but when the page loads each image on the page takes time to fully load it seems to load each image individually from the top to the bottom - I have looked at other sites built using Freeway and they seem to load quicker without the unveiling of each image.

Heather’s already answered most of what you want to know, but I
thought I’d just stick my oar in on this bit above. GIFs are for flat
graphics that have no graduations or are not continuous tone, like a
photograph. If you try to make a photograph into a GIF, you’ll get
banding in blue skies, and a general ‘gritty’ look, as the picture
will probably have a dither pattern over it. JPEGs and GIFs are not
interchangeable, each one is for a special use: JPEGs for anything
that has smooth graduations of tone, photographs etc. GIF for
anything with flat areas of colour. For image text, for instance, GIF
is far superior to JPEG. For logos and graphics with areas of flat
colour, GIF is the way to go.
Hi Heather thanks for that, I have gone through the images and none of them have progressive check box ticked, Bilinear and Anti alias are checked though.
Also I had a look for that option in the prefs and can’t see it anywhere??
