Feature Request

Nick,

When I try to rotate an object it rotates on an axis in the center of the object. What I would like to see is the ability to rotate an object with the axis at a corner.

Also, once I’ve selected Rotate I would be able to move/rotate objects, after I select them, and continue to do so until I deselected Rotate via clicking on the Arrow tool.

Thanks, Ray

Sorry, I asked before I looked for a previous post. I have to first select Rotate then Option click on the corner I want the axis.

The rest of the request still stands…

Thanks, Ray

Or anywhere else for that matter - even outside the object. And if
‘snap to grid’ is on, the axis snaps to the nearest point on the grid

  • which is quite handy at times.

The only thing missing, for me, is that there’s no indication of
the co-ordinates of where you’re placing the axis of rotation - one
package I used (Xara on the PC) allowed you to drag the axis of
rotation, and showed you the co-ordinates as you dragged, so you
could place it precisely.
