Firefox 6 not showing WebYep edit icons??

Thanks for that David. Much appreciation to all.

There was a bug in WebYep 1.7 which caused the license check to fail under certain circumstances.
This was fixed in 1.7.1. If you have WebYep 1.7 installed and still have troubles please update to 1.7.1.

There also seems to be some confusion about what the online updater does.
In short, is does the following:

  • upload the new WebYep folder
  • rename the old WebYep folder to “webyep-system_OldVersion_YYYYMMDD_HHMM”
  • move user data from the old WebYep folder to the new

So when you see a “new” webyep-system folder with a suffix like “_1.6.2_20110903_1800”, this is in fact your old installation of WebYep. Keep it as a backup (one never knows), or delete it - you don’t need it to run WebYep.

I am still having problems with WYep 1.7.1 that have not occurred with previous versions. In Safari 5.0.5 the Rich text edit window is displaying the 6 styles I’ve chosen in the edit window but when Save is selected, the styles are not saving and reverting to one font style only. There also dozens of spurious styles in the Styles drop down menu, not generated by me. Where are they coming from?

With Firefox 7.0.1 when logging in, the Login panel does not close after Logging in, it just resets itself and although the WYep edit icons are showing it is still saying ‘I do not have sufficient privileges’ right after loggin in.

I’ve also as David’s suggestion gone back to 1.6.2 which has made not difference.

There seems to be an incompatibility between TinyMCE and Safari/Mac with the AdBlocker Plugin.

I don’t use AdBlocker, so I’m not sure if you can configure it to ignore your site. Disabling AdBlocker (temporarily) while editing should solve the problem.
