Firefox Preview headaches

Dear All,

just completed our site.

All seems to be working OK in Safari and the latest IE explorer on Windows XP.

However when the site is viewed in Firefox (Version 3.5.4) all hell breaks loose, the smooth scrolling (applied with the smooth scroll to anchors action - part of the moo suite) goes haywire!

Any help or pointers to resolve this would greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Cheers

Hi,

Have you checked the width of your page and / or if centre aligned ?
At the initial start position the page can be scrolled left, that shouldn’t happen.

regards,

s

Hi S,

Thanks for the reply.

When the page loads it can’t be scrolled left (it appears to be aligned properly), it’s only when I click on a link to an anchor further down the page in starts scrolling to the right as well as vertically down. This only happens in Firefox, other browsers (Safari, IE on PC) don’t exhibit this behaviour at all.

So I’m not sure what’s going on, any suggestions much appreciated.

Cheers

Err… yes it can, look at the scroll bar along the bottom of the browser. Checked with FF3.5.4 and also with Camino.

Your page initially appears centre aligned the when the navigation is clicked it moves (smoothly) to a left of page (browser) alignment.

S, Thanks for that, obviously something I’ve done has ‘monkeyed’ around with the alignment. I’ll get on to it - thanks
