first peek: Protaculous Action

Is there a easy way to utilize this stuff without the need to mess around with codes? I want to use the accordion feature for some lists but I have no clue how to get it rolling!

Not at this time. The most evolved solution for Freeway 4 at the
moment would be Weaver’s MooTools action, available at minimal cost,
and including support!

In addition, Freeway 5 will include a complete set of Actions for the
Prototype/Scriptaculous libraries. Check out the public beta for a
taste, and understand that there are many more effects coming soon.

I will continue to develop Protaculous to include features that
Softpress does not, particularly in the Ajax and server integration
side of things. There is actually a whole lot of foundation already
in Protaculous, adding individual effects is a startlingly quick
thing. As they say at NASA – watch this space!

I have the beta and cannot see an action to try it out. Where is it?

The first part of the Scriptaculous stuff is in the Show Hide Target Layer Action. There is an option to use fade effects when showing and hiding layers. This is using Scriptaculous. I have it on good authority from the guy who wrote it that there will be more at some point.

For now, if you want to do an accordion, the best way would be to use Weaver’s MooTools Action.

Thanks for the heads up Walter. I was hoping to give it a run in the beta-darn. I hate to pay for mooTools and then just have it built in the final version anyway. Guess I dont need it that bad yet. I have found stuff all over the internet with the accordion but I just dont have a clue how to use it all - thats why I am using FW instead!
