Flash Programs

Hi!

I have a client who wants a Flash style animation on his home page. I’ve never worked with Adobe Flash until Thursday night when I downloaded the demo. I’ve seen the postings about Vertical Moon’s SWF & Slide but it sounds like it is just for photo album related slide shows. Are there any other programs that provide fairly sophisticated animation? I have Keynote and it is ok but this client wants a little more pizazz than what it seems like Keynote can do. It is for a tropical fish store. He wants an aquarium scene with fish moving all over and picking at rocks & corals. I’ll officially buy Adobe Flash if I need to since I can use it on other projects but was just trying to find a cheaper way of doing it.

Thanks!

If you happen to have a reasonably up-to-date copy of QuarkXPress
then I definitely recommend looking at Quark Interactive Designer.

This is a QuarkXPress Xtension, effectively a plugin for Quark’s
flashship DTP package, that lets you make surprisingly sophisticated
Flash-based interactive and animated content. It requires far less
effort than learning and using Flash. And less expense too - as long
as you already have QuarkXPress.

Hmm… PhotoPresenter (about £4) by arizona software allows you to add photos and then animate them and one of the templates is of a fish tank with fish swimming.

Thanks to you both. Unfortunately, I do not have QuarkExpress. I’ll look into PhotoPresenter! I don’t mind learning Flash. I already looked at their tutorial online and can do most of what’s needed. Just really didn’t want to spend the money on it!

Thanks again!
