It has been sometime since we talked about WebYep and Flash.
I just managed to insert Flash using WebYep.
I used a Richtext Element to insert 3 lines of code which was calling the .swf already uploaded to the server. The only thing
is that if TyniMCE is on the OPT folder from WebYep system, all we see is the code. I’m far from a code guy, so I can’t tell what is happening.
But if there was an action, that would tell WebYep do not use
TinyMCE and that would also allow to browse for the .swf to upload. The problem is solved. I do realize that is easy to talk. it’s just an idea.
I just wanted to let you know, for I use your actions in a daily base.
Below is the link to 02 pages, the first to a page with a YouTube movie, inserted with the Richtext action and the second to a page with a SWF (my animation) movie both inserted via browser.
Hi Linhares
Oddly enough I know that WebYep are working on this area of adding different media into WebYep and I have also tried and successfully used a workaround that PaulVW discovered for the rich text item so it can upload images. I haven’t looked into the flash upload since finding out from OBD that they were developing this area
But I can look at it again

Ps I had a look at your example… what are the lines of code you are using in the rich text area

Hi Linhares
I had another look at this and I have had some sort of success, I have managed to add the extra button for other media like flash and it does work.
You can open the webyep richtext and then you can see an extra button for media, which wasn’t there before and it will place the flash, quicktime, shockwave, item inside the webyep richtext item… sounds good doesn’t!!!
Until you start to try and work out how to get the flash up to the server and then knowing the path to that file so the richtext item know where to look. What tinymce lacks as standard is a proper file manager built in, so if you wanted to upload a load of files like flash then you would need to upload them by ftp, place them somewhere on the server… ideally next to your richtext php page and then its fairly straight forward to work out the path.
its not a great solution though as uploading these items isnt handled by webyep and there fore are not done via a browser.
Anyway if its of any use to you please let me know and I will send through the amended webyep-system.
kind regards max
ps I will need your email address if you do want the files
