Float / Clear settings in FW Pro 5

Hi,

For a HTML Item in FW 5 Pro - where can I set the “float” and “clear” options as these two settings don’t appear under my Dimension section of my Inspector palette when selecting a HTML Item?

Thanks
Tony.

Float and clear only relate to inline html boxes. If you want to add float and clear to a graphic object for example, first create an inline html box which you will apply the float and clear to, then insert a graphic object into that.

The float and clear options for inline boxes appear under the first tab in the inspector pallet.

Thanks but from the looks of it, I don’t think I m creating an inline html box correctly - how do I achieve this?

Thanks

Tony.

Double-click inside an html element then go to Menu > Insert > HTML Item.

You draw a parent HTML object, then click inside of that HTML object
so you see a text cursor, and then use Insert > HTML Item to add the
child object.

Thanks for that - all good now. The only thing is though, I can’t seem to create a sub-item type structure like in Todd’s Liquid example.

I can manage to create the inline html items but in the site/page panel on left-hand side, I can’t drag a sub-item under a parent item.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Tony.

If the item is inline, you’re not dragging it anywhere in the page panel. You can drag it directly around inside the item it is within (though I highly recommend against that).

The output code for inline items is indistinguishable from parent/child items. However, working with inline items in Freeway is very different from working with parent/child items. It takes a while to get the hang of it.
