flshow carousel and hyperlinks

Thanks to David Owen for the excellent tutorial but I didn’t quite understand this bit:

Editing the links in the Flash Carousel:

To create the links within the flash file to link to your destination pages, edit the hyperlink “http://www.flshow.net” to you own hyperlink “http:www.mydomain/mypage.html”

many thanks roger

Yes that right.

(On the other question, revert the file back the the original - just amend in small steps so you remember what has been changed and where)

Sorry David, in the original post (this thread) I’ve quoted your instructions from the tutorial : "…edit the hyperlink “http://www.flshow.net” to you own hyperlink “http:www.mydomain/mypage.html…” but I don’t understand what the instruction means … when I click on the file the hyperlink “globe” is greyed out ? Hi Roger,

The hyperlinks for each image is held in the default.xml text file that came with flshow carousel. Are you editing this text file - in a plain text editor?

In the original text you would have:

./images/DCP_0731.jpg

You would change to:

./images/mynewimage.jpg

Hi David

Just to continue with another question on the fl carousel theme about using Lightbox on the images links.

I followed the additional info about Carousel & Lightbox but I am trying to do it with Weaver’s moo:slimbox and can’t get it to work.

Any tips or hints here would be much appreciated.

Carousel uses Scriptactulous and Prototype libraries, moo:slimbox uses MooTools library. They don’t get along with each other so they cannot be used together on the same page i’m afraid.

Sorry, I don’t know. The site just refers to using the Carousel with lightbox. Never used Weaver’s moo:slimbox.
