Fonts missing in Freeway Pro 6

Hi all,

Hope you can answer a problem I have just encountered, I am in the process of revising a website that was created in Freeway 5.5 which used a font family (Castle) which was converted to the various formats for use on the web. This was easy to use in Freeway 5.5 because the screen fonts matched the actual fonts, but with the upgrade to Freeway Pro 6 this is no longer the case.

I have the font (Castle) available to use as it is permanently enabled using Suitcase Fusion 3. I have nearly 3000 fonts so need to keep them organised. I’m on a 17" MacBook Pro Late 2011 (last of the big boys!), running Mac OS 10.7.5.

When I first loaded the Freeway file it said that Castle was unavailable and would be using Times as the screen font. But I find that when I come to change the screen font to Castle it is not on the list of available fonts, although it is activated and available to other programs.

Is there any way to get the fonts I want to appear in this list so that the screen preview looks similar to the browser, or is it that the list is only uses fonts activated by the system as there is only a limited number in there.

Thanks.

Steve.

Hi again…

Well, this is embarrassing!

Freeway Pro 6 crashed (but that’s another matter) and when I reopened it the fonts were all there.

I think I know what is happening…

If Freeway is loaded on startup, which happens if you have the checkbox ticked when you close down your Mac, then the fonts in Suitcase Fusion get loaded after Freeway has started, so it only has the fonts from the system to play with…

I’ve had this before, but not with Freeway Pro 6.

Note to self, “Make sure that Suitcase Fusion is running before launching Freeway!”

Cheers,

Steve.
