First question - did the client ask for a ‘splash page’?
From once being popular they are now derided as being nothing more than a barrier to the real content of a site. Especially when there is little content of any SEO worth there.
As to the form - I have noticed that on a number of your sites you use that layout for your form.
You will get a far neater layout if you create your form table as a 2 column table with your descriptors (name, email etc) in the first column and your fields in the second.
People read naturally left to right, new line then left to right so your form scans badly.
Also doing it the 2 col way will help you align fields better and you can set the table to shrink to fit (height wise)
Yes he did… I agree with you, but he did request it. He found a skin that he loved and wanted that look.
A few of them I do. a different look from the 2 column… and I saw it on one of FWs new templates and liked it
I actually have the form there now in a table (same design though) but I am still seeing the difference of FF and Safari.

I haven’t yet looked in FF - just really making a general observation.
As to the splash page you really should point out it’s SEO uselessness to him in it’s current form.
There is absolutely no reason that the ‘home’ page of his site couldn’t have that look and still contain all the info that the current second page has now.
I have - but I will repeat it again now that it is up.
I got him not to use the skin because of the flash.

I kept the same look - but I relocated where in the contact us table text fields etc. should go.
Thank you so much.
I agree Dave about the splash page - but he likes it… maybe in a few weeks with input I can throw that in.

Your font - Penultimate Light - isn’t going to work as a body text font. Everywhere you have used it (apart from as graphic text) is not going to display for most visitors as they wont have it. Also it just isn’t suitable in that context. And your text in general is set too large.
You will need to specify an alternate font in your Font Set so that those folk wont see their default font displayed (probably Times)
I thought that was what caxton was for - so people can see it
I have most set for default size what should it be?
why not suitable? I am using it only on a couple pages for txt.
mainly for headers.
I do appreciate the input

Caxton is not working for me - I only see my default browser font.
Your Body3 style is set at 18px - style48 which you use for your headers is 34px (headers should really be an H1 style)
I am saying that that particular font is not particularly readable for a full paragraph of text as your body3 style.
I also think that the rollover colours in your Navigation don’t stand out very well against the red background and that ‘Practice Areas’ would look better on 1 line?
I made the menu smaller… Richard felt it was too small but I can defiantly change the body 3
And I will play with the rollover colors.
If Caxton is not working for you… Is it working for others? And is there more I can do to get it to work for all?
Thank you
