Form not uploaded properly

I’m having trouble uploading a form.

It worked previously, but has inexplicably stopped working. The form setup data from the page menu had even disappeared. I’ve re-entered it all correctly (I’m pretty sure it’s all correct!) but when I upload the site the actual form script isn’t uploaded so the form does nothing.

The source for the .html shows that the script items haven’t been uploaded.

What am I doing wrong?

TIA

What application are you using to upload the handler script? Is this
an Action-based handler, or a separate file?

Freeway will not upload script files unless you use one of the upload
Actions to enable this. (Upload Stuff and Extra Resources are two
possibilities here, both available from the Softpress KnowledgeBase.)

Or, if you simply use a third-party FTP/SFTP application to upload
the script after you have uploaded the rest of your site using
Freeway, then that should just work as well.

I’m using a ready made script that’s already on my ISP’s server. The address of the script goes in to the form setup page.

It’s not the script itself that’s not being uploaded (I’m not trying to upload it) just the references to the form items. I.e.

This should be simple. It worked before, and just stopped working. The items I’d entered into the form setup dialogue box all disappeared and I had to re-enter them. Freeway still refuses to do anything with them though.

Strange…

Freeway Pro 4.4.2

None of the items above are in the source any more even though it’s all correctly entered into the form setup page and the site has been published and uploaded (and I’ve even force republished the contact us page)

Many thanks for any help…

I’ve tried to fix this in various ways, but Freeway isn’t playing ball.

I’ve got this working in a different site, and the settings are all identical. Why isn’t freeway uploading the form items such as and code at all? It isn’t in the .html source.

This is frustrating!!

Here’s a link to a functional form:

http://www.eurotecno.co.uk/form.html

And here’s the page where it won’t work:

http://www.theartsyndicate.co.uk/contactus.html

If you look at the source for each page, you can see that freeway hasn’t uploaded the form items in the second site. All the settings in the Form Setup… Dialogue are the same.

John, I think you might be using an action that removes the form from your page. I had this happen to a form a client was using my PHP easiForm action on, the form wouldn’t send, the form method and action where not getting set while they should have been… it was because of another action on the page that was removing these. I can’t remember the name off the top of my head and I seem to have deleted the reply but it was a ‘e’ action, so check the other action on your page.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Mike, it was the “E-Review” action. As soon as I deleted that, the form worked.

It’s a bug then… I’ll submit a report.

Thanks again.
