Format of master not carried to single page

I have a master page with the descriptive name “Text-inset-760-px”, containing a html textbox, where text is formatted to Verdana. But a page derived from the master shows the text in the default “Proportional”. Is this intended behavior?

If it is the same as the example you sent me the actual text ‘Text’ is formatted proportional for the ‘T’ and Verdana for ‘ext’ - change this to all Verdana.
