If a table is part of a layer (CSS Positioning button On when it was
drawn, or Layer checkbox checked in the Inspector) then you cannot do
this without an Action.
Have a look on ActionsForge for the RemoveDimensions Action, which
adds this missing feature back in for you.

I cannot find a way in FWP 5 to have tables shrink to the content.
I’ve tried the manual and the KB and of course experimentation!
Can someone point me in the direction of some documentation/help.
Cheers
Best wishes Peter

For some unknown reason this is not working either, would you like a sample
FW file?
Best wishes Peter

If you could publish the page somewhere, and post a link, that would
be preferable. Include notes as to what you expect to have happen, and
I’ll see if there’s anything I can think of.

Try downloading the Action again. I am having no trouble here getting
one table to collapse in the midst of others that do not. There were a
couple of versions of this Action, and I may have not revved the
version number while I was fixing some issues with layered tables.

Hi Walter,
Thanks for the update, unfortunately it did not make a difference.
But thanks to Max, I tried the “Collapse Layer” action which I was unaware
of and that fixes the problem.

Could you please humor me and look in your Actions folder to see if
you have more than one copy of the RemoveDimensions Action in there? I
can’t think of any other reason why this would not work for you. I’ve
tested it in numerous different settings, both inline and drawn objects.
Look in /User/yourshortname/Application Support/Freeway 5/Actions/
General and see what’s there.
Thanks,
Walter
