I have learned that the PHP FF action does not work in an https setting.
I have been directed to use the formmail clone available on my server.
I was just looking at it - where it says the script is I am getting the following line:
FormMail-Clone Version: 2.4
This is FormMail-clone, a clone of FormMail.cgi. It is a clean room version for legal purposes (a less restrictive liscense), but should behave the exact same way as Matt Wright’s Original, but contain none of his code.
but nothing else. but I am unsure how to set it up etc. if i don’t have access.
That would be me Walter!
The PHP that the action creates looks for cross domain posts and
blocks these in an attempt to stop spammers posting directly to your
PHPFBF code. It appears that there is something in there (I’ve not had
the time to look closely at it) that is causing this to fire when
Julie uses her form under an SSL connection.
I could strip the checks out in the code and that may work around the
issue but I really need to find time to test this on a secure server
and see where the error is.
Regards,
Tim.

Ah. If one of you could post a Gist or Pastie with the complete
contents of the formname-go.php file, I might be able to help you spot
the loonie.

All that to say, I wouldn’t start trying to port over to FormMail from
PHPFF – they’re such completely different animals, and FormMail is a
real bag of hurt.

Hi Julie,
Just to be clear, visit the link below, click on the download link and
install this version of the action in Freeway (replacing the old
version you already have), publish, upload and test your site.
Let me know how you get on.
Regards,
Tim.
Click the Download File button in the middle of the top bar.

Then drag that white paper over Freeway’s Dock icon and let it sort
out the fact that it’s an Action. It will.
