hi!
i’m new on working with freeway for my partners homepage. he always uses freeway 4 pro with his mac. without thinking about freeway he updated his mac on 10.9 osx. now i can’t update his site because freeway is crashing after the instruction “upload”…
any ideas?
thanks!
He can still use Freeway 4 under Mavericks, as long as he doesn’t use it for uploading. Transmit (and other SFTP apps) has a “Synchronize” command that is very similar to Freeway’s Upload command. Have him use that until he gets around to updating Freeway.

The ‘synch’ command is in Panic Transmit, not Freeway. Try the 30-day trial: http://www.panic.com and see if you can get it to work. I wouldn’t recommend updating a Freeway 4 document straight into Freeway 6 – it’s possible, and for a simple site, it may work just fine, but you may end up with a lot of time sunk into troubleshooting layout differences.
But don’t get me wrong here – by all means, buy Freeway 6, and use it for any new projects you create – it’s a truly great upgrade. But leave this document in Freeway 4 until you can invest the time to start over and re-create it from scratch.

thanks for your answer. unfortunately there isn’t any sync command. so we have to update freeway first…
ok, don`t know what panic is before. thanks for your help. I´m really new on creating pages so i´m overwhelmed with panic
i found another solution: my 10 year old macbook pro with 10.5. updated the site although i would not think that this mac boots again. but it works after waiting about 4 hours boot-process
