Does upgrading to 5.4 make any difference to your existing CSS menus

Anyone tested this yet?

Hi David,
We’ve been giving this very thing a thorough testing, yes. Personally,
I would still make a backup of files before opening them. If you
encounter any problems, please let us know.

5.4 update. ooh just one decimal place , always fills me with hope…
I put a simple request in to SP about the rss feed action action
months ago if not more ! requesting that the description box be
increased in size, it is really difficult to enter more than one
line of text, you have to flip back and to just to read what you
have entered. How difficult is it to increase the size of a box ??
Hi Gary,
Sorry this one slipped through, but remember, 99% of our Actions are
open source so you can always go in and edit them yourself if you need
to. If you’re up for it then open the application bundle up (Control-
click>Show Package Contents and navigate to Contents/SharedSupport/
Actions/FAST/RSS Feed.fwactionb then do another Show Package contents
then Contents/Resources/Actions/RSS Feed.fwaction. You can then edit
anything you like in the Action.
Personally I’d recommend making a copy of it and placing it in the /
Library/Application Support/Freeway 5 Pro/Actions/ folder, then if you
mess it up you can remove it and fallback to the built-in copy.
For some Action Writing information, take a look at this documentation
here:
and still the first letter or word in many html divs continue to
drop out of site, I submitted this bug after version 5.0 came out
and still the irritating bug is here… admitted by SP as a known flaw
This is something we are still working on. Apologies for it it taking
so long.
and as for my request for sftp, dream on…
We still have a suggestion logged for this but if you need to use a
secure method now then a dedicated FTP client will do exactly what you
need (if you don’t already have one then try Cyberduck, it’s free!).
They tend to have exactly the same functionality as regular FTP in
Freeway, in that you can use File Copy from Freeway’s Upload dialog to
copy your finished site into a folder on your machine, and then
synchronize that folder with your server using SFTP or FTPS (whichever
method your host requires). The end result is no different to
uploading through Freeway.
I have contacted SP several times, they say it is on the list ( must
be a big one ) but nothing happens so I have finally decided to
throw my rattle out of my pram here in public so maybe, just maybe
they will get fixed before version 6.0 comes out…
No Comment ( that is printable anyway )
Gary
I do understand your frustrations though and sincerely apologize.
Best regards,
Joe Billings
