Hello FreewayTalkers,

There are new versions of Freeway (5.6.2) and Showcase (1.1) available. Download them now on our shiny new website (http://www.softpress.com, in case you weren’t sure). The download links can be found on their respective product pages, Showcase is included in the download.

The release notes for both applications can be found here: http://www.softpress.com/kb/questions/302/Freeway+5.6.2+Release+Notes

As can be seen there are some notable fixes, so we recommend everyone update as soon as possible. Enjoy!

Hi,

I am doing the update now and I get the following pop up:

“The operation can’t be completed because some items had to be skipped. For each item, choose File > Get Info, make sure “Locked” is deselected, and then check the Sharing & Permissions section. When you are sure the items are unlocked and not designated as Read Only or No Access, try again.”

This is after I authenticate the move into the application folder

I am on Lion.

There is no list of what was skipped = What should I do?

THanks,

Julie

That sounds like a Mac OS message. Are Freeway or Showcase locked in the Finder? Follow the steps in the dialog for both applications and try again.

I get a Javascript error on the Facebook button. Check this image ImageBam

I can re publish the website and the action will be ignored or I can remove the warning on the action. But when re publishing it comes right back.

Are you replacing the existing version of Freeway? It’s that one that might be locked.

Strange, can you repeat that in a new file? If not, can you send your Freeway file to our Support team? You can get them on support(a)softpress.com.

I just downloaded.

Yes - because anything prior to FW6 is being hailed as based on 5.5

It has been a source of confusion for many for some time.

I now have two versions of FWP on my computer and am getting this error message for one and showcase.

http://www.grassrootsweb.net/openerror.png

The other FWP says that it is a downloaded program found on the disc freeway55pro562.dmg I have opened saved a file closed and when I open it - keeps directing me that way.

BTW, I meant my programs are in launchpad not mission control - sorry.

So, any suggestions?

ALso, I don’t know how to check if the “original” FWP is locked or not.

Thanks. This is the first time ever I have had issues with updating etc FW.

Download them now on our shiny new website (http://www.softpress.com, in case you weren’t sure).

What - No Gallery of sites for us to check out on your shiny new site? I can see that there may be some, mine included, that are not the best advert for SP and need to be culled. But could the good ones be placed somewhere here in Freeway Talk, as a reference for registered users - or something?

And no support for Ineedwebhosting? Just Fatcow? Shame! Give some support to the home teams. After all it does say “Made in Great Britain” at the bottom

(And no senior or student discount anymore?)

Still the site looks good though - well done.

I’m not too sure what to suggest, other than completely removing your existing Freeway and Showcase applications and reinstalling them from the disk image.

Launchpad is just an extra interface over the applications in your Applications folder, so that shouldn’t make a difference.

We’re showcasing sites that we particularly like on the individual product pages. We’re still thinking about the process for selecting these. As always, we welcome people sharing their sites with other Freeway users, whether it’s on here, Facebook, Twitter, or Google+.

We are still offering education, non-profit and senior discounts.
