Damn I have so much to buy… Adobe CS5 Design Premium… mmmm I may wait for Adobe CS6?
Ummm… personally, I am so ready to get off of the Adobe ferris wheel. I have CS4 versions of AI, PS, AE and that is plenty for some time to come. Dont’ need or want Flash, Dreamweaver, etc. Too late to update ID to CS4 unfortunately but i’ll live with CS2.
But if there ever was a viable and cheaper alternative that could compete I wouldn’t hesitate to dump Adobe. MS Office is the next on the list.

I’m in no hurry for a new version, since it will most likely be Intel-only and I’m a couple of years from that upgrade.
OpenOffice is a very acceptable alternative to that bloatware MS Office -which I will never re-purchase. Every problem I’ve had on a PPC machine could be traced back to Microsoft products. Never again. As far as Adobe goes, I stay a generation back and usually buy it used. Hasn’t bitten me so far - but I’m not yet a full-blown “professional” yet, either.
