Freeway Pro 5 Text Leading Problems

Help!!
I already have a website in Freeway 5 Pro.
I am adding new pages.
I am currently copying some text from a friends website and copy and pasting it into text edit and then pasting it onto my page and styling the text etc. The big problem is that on my existing pages I have set the leading at 10% but when I do this on the new pages the text scrunches up into a muddle. I can alter the leading and it works BUT it is not consistent with the other pages. Please help.
Is this to do with invisible’s possibly??

I have set the leading at 10%

I think you mean it should be 110%

copy and pasting it into text edit

Just remember that if you use TextEdit you have to make sure it is in Plain Text mode - better to use TextWrangler (Free) Bare Bones Software | TextWrangler is now BBEdit -- and still free! It's time to switch.

Hi David
Thanks but on the pages that I have put 10% spacing, which in preview looks fine when I try to change it to 110% I have masses of space between the lines. It actually looks like 2 or 3 lines space in between.
Also in text edit it is plain text format, I have checked so I still have the problem.

Leading is the distance between two lines of text and on the web should be referred to as line height. It can be measured in points/pixels, percentages etc.

When you use it as a percentage it is calculated against the size of the text.

Therefore 10% leading (line height) on 20pt/px text will be 2.0pt/px and 110% will be 22pt/px.

Maybe you should post a link to an example page online so that we can see what you have and what you are trying to achieve.
