FW templates will never work as everybody has their own workflow and template quality that is acceptable for one user may not be for another.
To build a professional level site with FW you will have to know some html and CSS.

New to the discussion and I haven’t read all of it - but I think because FW is a design tool I can understand it struggles to create templates. Does Indesign/QXP/Photoshop have templates? I think they do but these are aimed at non-designers. If you are not a designer then something more like WP or Rapid-weaver would be more fitting, these seems squarely aimed at people who kinda get design but need templates to push them in the right direction… dunno.

BUT what I do want to see more of and I think there would be a bigger demand for the developers to get some money in the bank - is a more up to date Actions market. It can take an age for a cool Action to pop up. I would pay for these too - perhaps pay a premium to get it fast then free say 6 months down the line? I cant believe there hasn’t been a demand for a responsive gallery for instance?

Whilst I consider myself a designer and wouldn’t want to use a template to copy it’s design, I think I would find them useful as a tool to show you how the site was built. Manuals for version 6 have been pretty sparse so far - and looks likely to remain that way. A template showing best practice in different kinds of sites would be very helpful, I think.

I agree that most templates are great to learn how it was built, but templates can also serve as a guide, since all templates can and will be modified according to our needs. Also, not everybody have time or all the knowledge to build great sites. The learning curve of FW is much better than other tools out there.
