Freeway will not be able to display Flash files

I think upon upgrading to the latest quicktime 7.3.1, things seem to have changed. When opening the Freeway app now I’m getting a new dialog that says

"Quicktime is currently configured not to display Flash files. If you wish to see Flash content in Freeway, select Quicktime in System Preferences and turn on “Enable Flash” in the Advanced pane.

The Quicktime advanced pane doesn’t contain anything relating to this at all. I think it was there in the past. Anyone else having this issue?

I saw this also, but have not investigated further.

Yep, I saw this too. I opened the Quicktime pane in System
Preferences (OS) and looked for the enable Flash option in the
Advanced pane like the alert stated but didn’t see anything relevant.
Using QT Pro btw. Not sure what else to do.

In fairness, it only ever supported an ancient version of Flash (4?),
so it’s not such a huge issue I wouldn’t have thought.

You can still place Flash content on Freeway pages, but it will show
up as generic plugin content without a preview. It might theoretically
be possible to generate a preview within Freeway through other means,
but it would probably require some fairly major changes to Freeway’s
handling of Flash content.
