Verizon just eliminated their free FTP webspace for subscribers in favor a real dog-awful, you must use their template, web design site. It’s worse than awful. I’m looking to post my web page(s) occasionally on some other FTP site, one that supports Mac format. I’ve been using drivehq (File not found - DriveHQ Web and File Hosting Service) but it’s PC-oriented and not the easiest to use. I’d really like to use Transmit for my site management. Any suggestion on where I might look?
BTW Dave: What’s your take on Adobe’s new Muse app for designing web pages? Looks pretty slick to me… wysiwig like FW but prettier interface IMHO. I’m not going with a subscription like they want, but I still think it’s pretty neat so far.
Yes… I’ve already kicked the tires… pretty slick. Their live chat’s fantastic too! I hope you don’t mind… they asked me who referred me to them and I gave them your screen handle. thanks again… got a 2-year plan and am already using with FW. I also agree with you 100% about the Adobe scheme to suck in the corporate community subscription buffs. I’d rather pay 2-$300 up front with 18mo upgrades than this monthly bullcrap… no more time payments for this old man! Just got the house paid off… whew! Talk about feeling free and clean again!
