Full upload

I opened up my site (I do this pretty much every day) changed some
prices on 1 page and click to upload… the whole site republished and
had to be reuploaded (120 pages including PDFs, downloads etc.)

I made no changes to any master pages or styles or colours. Why would
this happen all of a sudden. Like I said I go in and change prices all
the time.

If your Mac had a significant clock reset then this could have been
triggered by that.

Imagine if your computer’s hardware clock drifted from the standard
(they all do) and has the automatic update set to manual, rather than
automatically checking every day. Then you restart your computer,
which resets the clock to the world standard.

Freeway lets the site and the server be apart by a certain number of
milliseconds (no idea how many exactly) but beyond that, it triggers
the “this file has a different modification date” flag that forces a
republish.

Another thought on those same lines: your computer is in a place where
daylight savings time changed recently, and your server does not
respect DST but remains set to GMT all year round. So now your site is
one hour out of date, which means that Freeway will upload it again.

Those are just theories, but they seem pretty plausible to me.

Also sounds plausible to me too. But I am making changes on a daily
basis i.e. 5pm yesterday it was fine… 9am today - full upload.

I will keep an eye on things to see if anything would cause it.
