Is it possible in FW 6 to have a centered page AND items filling the browser window? i.e. 100% as wide as the browser window.
Is it also possible to have a centered page and have a logo or item aligned to the left of the browser window?
– without having to do inline box model?
I’ve just had a look at the new measurement pallet. I can’t work it out. Is there any documentation?

Not without a fully- or partially-inline page layout.

You can mix a centered page and Fixed in Window elements, the latter will stick to the browser window – they will not scroll when the browser does, and they will stay stuck to whichever axis you stick them to, regardless of window size or resize.

There is a lot more information presented than in previous versions, and in more than one place. The Measurements section contains the information about how the element is positioned in Freeway, while the dimensions section shows the actual values that are going to be translated into the HTML. Note that they may not match, based on your preferences and the complexity of your layout. You can figure out what a lot of the values in the Measurements section mean by fiddling with the Dimensions segment. Try clicking the up-down arrow icon left of the height, or the bottom inset icon, and look at the new values that appear in the Measurements pickers.

I have similar questions. The inspector panel in FW 6 is much different. Not quite sure what I’m doing with it yet.

If you scroll down a bit you’ll find a “What’s new in Freeway 6” PDF guide. It has some info on this change in measurements. Haven’t had a chance to look through it closely, but I think it may be helpful in understanding these changes.

Yup, I’ve read it but it still doesn’t make much sense to me. I’m hoping there will soon be a complete manual giving more in depth guidance.
